She is currently in college on her fathers insurance. We are planning on getting married in August and then she wouldnt be on her dads insurance anymore. My parents are telling me that the rest of her pregnacy will not be covered by either my insurance or by her own insurance at work if she signed up for it because it would be considered a pre existing condition. So then we would have to choose between having insurance for the pregnancy or getting married like we planned. Are there any HR people out there that could clear this up?

We don’t have any health insurance however sense we are about to start a family we want full coverage for maternity. She is planning on becoming pregnant in mid February to mid March. Also we want a policy that she can choose a really good doctor and hospital. Also we are curious to know what the monthly payments should be and if we would have any outside expenses beyond these payments. Can anyone help us with these decisions.

My wife is pregnant, and I’ve recently changed jobs. I have family medical coverage with Aetna which lapses as of 1/1/089, as of that point I can enroll in Cobra which is outrageously expensive. Do I have to use Cobra insurance or can I choose my own provider?

Used would be good too. Trying to save money. Not much of a selection at the 2nd hand stores. Walmart had a very very small section of maternity. I’m trying to be frugal.
