What are some tips or advice for being more frugal with money?
I make a decent income, I’m not wealthy by any means, but I should have more in the way of savings than I do. I guess I’m in need of a good pep talk to curtail my needless spending.

Frugal people only please.what are some funny/interesting things you do to save money?
I consider myself very frugal with most things. Whenever I buy something I’m always researching everything and trying to get the best deal, etc.
I was just wondering if anyone could mention something they do to save money that is funny or interesting or something that I might have never thought of. Thanks.
U… that is hilarious, I’m definitely not that frugal. Thanks for your answer. See, her husband is a lawyer, and they probably have money. I’m telling you, alot of rich people got rich by watching every dollar and being cheap.
Peggy K, it seems like you definitely have the right idea. You must have read some of Suze Orman’s stuff, or your parents taught you financial responsibility growing up.
LOL @ Misty… you just list a bunch of products and stuff, but you don’t say anything about them, funny. Are you saying these are the items you always try to save money on?

What are some things you do to save money?
I like to see how much money I can save. I love getting things on sale and disiplining myself from buying things that I don’t need as opposed to things I need. I am very, very frugal and if there is a way to stretch a dollar, I know about it. I like to see just how much I can get for my money. I hate to spend money, but I love to save. I would like your ideas and thoughts on saving money and stretching the budget. Please list at least 10 things you do to save.

Are there any good sites for frugal single apartment living?
I’d like to find a website or forum with ideas for those of us who are still single, live in an apartment (where decorating, remodeling, and storage opportunities are usually limited), and want to be frugal.
Thanks!

Where can I find a video or story about an extremely frugal person who *saved* their way to wealth?
I’m looking for stories of ordinary people who have saved huge amounts of money by living very frugally. For example, I have a vague memory of having read somewhere about a waiter who could afford to live in downtown San Fransisco on approximately $20,000/yr. because he was so careful with his money.
I’m looking for stories of ordinary folks who saved their way into financial security, not people who have gotten luckier than most with business decisions (like Warren Buffett).

What are some good ways to save for college for 3 kids?
My husband and I are very tight and frugal with our money, but I get tired of this. What do you do?
And I am a stay-at-home-mom for now, so once my 4 year old is in full time school I will go back to work.
My kids are: 10, 8 and 4
Thanks!

What are some simple or creative ideas to live frugally?
I am 23-years old and would love to hear people’s input on how to live frugally in every aspect of life (cooking, childrearing, grocery shopping, health, automotive, pursuing one’s education, to better one self, etc.). I am looking on how to cut costs in every avenue of the household, including my mobile phone which is a contract not prepaid that’s for emergencies or keep in contact with my father. I also would like to know (starting next Christmas rush) how people plan financially for Christmas and if homemade food gifts are really worth the frugal hype. My goal is to save wisely and don’t use credit unless it’s for home ownership, educational and medical purposes or to start a business. Please keep in mind I’m finally starting out on my own. Your suggestions and input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
