Help choosing a motorcycle, Safety Gear, Insurance (In Alberta, Canada)?

choosing insurance
A.B. asked:

Hey guys, I just got my Class 6 license yesterday so right now Im picking out the basics such as the bike itself and gear. I looked through 5 manufacturers:
Yamaha(06/07 YZF R6/ 06 or 07 YZF R6S)
Honda (CBR600RR)
Buell (2008 Firebolt XB12R/1125R)
Suzuki (2008 GSX-R600)
Kawasaki (2008 ZX-6R)

now I want 5 filtered results for all those bikes so I can have a narrower choice (Suggestions for more suitable bikes are welcome, ofcourse:
1-Which is the most suitable for a beginner?
2-Which is most likely to live longer?
3-Which is the most reliable?
4-Which of all of these is the most customizable and tunable?
5-Which of these is the easiest to ride for a well-built, large 16 year old in terms of control, handling, reliability etc.?

Gear:
1-What brand of Helmets is the most reliable and safest?
2-What brand produces the most reliable and safest two-piece riding suit?
3-What brand produces the safest and most reliable riding boots?
4-What brand produces the safest and most reliable riding gloves?

Insurance:
Whats the best insurance provider for motorcycles in Canada that also provides coverage in Alberta?
At what range of Insurance rates am I looking at per annum if a newly licensed 16 year old were to get insurance? Would it matter on what type of bike he rode? Would it differ if it were used or new? Which would reduce the rate? Would any motorcycle course reduce the rate?

Thank You so much!
