Well, St. Patrick’s Day has gone by. Sigh…I hope I can find a job soon. Did you know the unemployment rate in Los Angeles is now at about 10%? 1 in 10 people in the workforce in the second-largest metropolitan area in the USA is unable to find a job, and I myself am part of this. It’s insane. I’m also four months after graduation over here, sitting at home with too much time that I’ll be all too willing to sell. On the other hand, once the economic recession is at its worst and starts to pick up, this means there’ll be a ton of new jobs out there, and it’ll be the EASIEST time to get a job. I just have to put my faith that Barack Obama will be able to tackle one of the most difficult challenges a US President will ever have to face and do it in record time. He needs our trust in him, since this is what backs up the United States Dollar. The economy won’t pick up until we can get money flowing again. Also, don’t mind Toon Link at the beginning. Match #1 Captain Falcon Yoshi’s Island (Melee) This was a really long struggle to get the Smash Ball. I would’ve been okay with it if any character other than Falco got this thing. I also mistakenly thought I began on the far right instead of the far left. That’s why I fell right off the ledge right away. Match #2 Snake Temple I was hoping for Shadow Moses Island so I could make a codec conversation in the middle of the battle. Oh well. At least this time, I remembered that Snake can toss grenades–after a year playing this game …

Well, it’s August already, and I still can’t find a job. Oh well. It looks like I won’t be getting my hard drive fixed until December at the very least. Here are a few races. I accidentaly uploaded the wrong video, so I’ve re-uploaded it here. Race #1 Koopa Cape It’s pretty clear that I know what I’m doing with the Jetsetter. It’s pretty fun to bump bikes around when they’re trying to wheelie. One thing some people don’t know is that karts have a lot more midair control than bikes; this is very handy in places like Mushroom Gorge and Wario’s Gold Mine. In this race, I maintained a lead for a while, though Buggy managed to creep up on me at the very end due to a very ill-timed POW Block. TBC_Delz also makes an appearance. Seems that while I’ve taken advantage of my lack of disconnections to get my VR above 8000 (meaning I can now proceed to get my third star more safely), a lot of the people I have Friend Codes for are now in the 9000s. Race #2 Mushroom Gorge I try the Wild Wing on Manual and got massacred. It looks like this kart on Manual is definitely not for me… Race #3 Moonview Highway But the Wild Wing on Automatic is!
